You are watching: Will a bb gun hurt a dog

*

Seems like this would require pump bb because the break barrels don"t seem to allow you to reduce your fps.Any idea about rifles? Any idea about fps required to break skin at 25 yards?
*

*

I"d need to develop accuracy with that and I want to be ready to sting the buggers tomorrow morning when they come over to bark at 3am for at minimum half an hour.

what kind of ball-licker shoots other people"s pets? I hope you get the favor returned in spades. (spit!)

My little crosman pump bb/pellet gun works great 2 pumps will hit a can at 100 feet but not penetrateI agree though sling shotor maybe airsoft
you should be able to ajust the pellet out of what ever gun you shoot. A light plastic one should do little damage.Seeing as how my slingshot idea has been stolen

Well its all situationalmy neighbors dogs occasionaly get under over or through my fence plus strays in the front yard
One who"s tired of the dogs trying to pick a fight with mine. Other option is to let my dog off my property but the other dogs owners all swear mine will kill theirs so if I could cause a sting that doesn"t draw blood I feel it is better than causing death.Seems to me a sting is better than death but I guess y"all don"t agree.
Paintball gun?But seriously, this will end with very bad Karma for you, there are better ways to handle issues with your neighbor....

Doesn"t matter, you shouldn"t shoot the dog, shoot the owner!!J/K...You should confront the owner and see to it the problem is resolved. Last thing you want is an arrest for shooting someones pet, they won"t care if you pumped it 2 times or 20..It"s not the dogs fault, period...
Wally world.....Pumpmaster Classic model pc77 pistol.....$50 bucks.1-10 pumps depending on the range...any kind of .177 pellet will do. This pistol is vey accurate and hits hard.I would suggest at 25 yds. you pump that sucker to no more than 5 pumps and hit "em in the ass.I hope your reasons are valid.

Actually local animal control told me to a while back cause my area is a dumping ground for strays and from my experience a couple pump bb shot doesnt do any more then sting a bit OR i could just shoot the dog with a real gun Neighbor knows ill do it and he knows he will do the same if my dog gets in his yardAnimals can always be controlled and strays can never be controlled
Guys we"ve done all that including the sheriff being out and making sure they understand that dogs roaming off property are subject to anything up to lethal force. I keep my dog behind the fence but they egg her on so much I"ve had injuries from her trying to get out so it is costing me money and time besides lack of sleep. One neighbor said I should just leave my gate open but when I reminded them that there dog has killed my chickens before and therefor I"d have to destroy it and another neighbor pointed out that my dog would wipe out theirs the neighbor decided leaving the gate open was a bad idea.I actually thought of a paint ball gun in the past with the deer in estrus scent balls - these dogs are inside/outside dogs so I can imagine how the wife would feel with them coming in daily with renewed deer pee smell all over them. If I"d of found skunk smell I"d have bought one but they don"t make skunk smell paint balls.
