Just connect to FireRed, LeafGreen, Emerald, or any of the Gamecube games, and also a patch will be installed that fixes the problem. Examine the short article for particular instructions because that the video game you made decision to attach with.

Edit: and also yes, this has happened come me on my Ruby and also Sapphire carts too. I never ever bothered to resolve Ruby, however my Sapphire to be fixed because I downloaded the glowing Zigzagoon from EB Games, and the patch was on that. Honestly, the video game is playable also with the dry battery. You won"t shed your save files or anything, it simply affects the in-game clock.

Sadly, this isn"t the Berry-glitch, which can be solved easily. The battery within your game cartridge has actually run dry. It"s the battery the powers the interior clock, which allows for time-based events to occur. Nintendo stopped replacing battery in gameboy cartridges a couple of years ago. All you can do is, either continue to play the game, the influenced gameplay must be minimal, or obtain the battery replaced. There is no the inner battery one cannot carry out things such as; record Regice, or visit Mirage Island, berry won"t grow, the Shoal cavern doesn"t readjust tides anymore either, etc.

You can shot and replace your battery on your own. I"ve changed batteries in gameboy color games before, however I have no suffer with Gameboy advance games. Though, here"s a video clip that could help:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ji3LbKNX_Bc

So you"re telling me that GBA gamings have been around so long, the battery in them are beginning to die from age?

Thanks for making me feeling old

But in every seriousness, your best bet is to replace the battery in the cartridge...this happens with N64 games as well.

Octane Ah, you"re right. I had just assumed the it to be the Berry Glitch since of the comparable effects.

But yeah, if the battery has actually ran out, that will have to be replaced. I remember seeing a quite cool youtube video clip where someone replaced the battery in a Gold variation cartridge. I"ll check out if i can"t uncover it. What"s cool is that in the video, the guy uses electrical tape rather of solder because that the necessary connections, so that is a pretty easy settle anyone can do.

Edit: found it! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RsROHA7RUCQIt"s a GBC cartridge, however the same ethics apply

Also, I"m pretty certain you will lose your save details if the battery is removed, therefore if you desire to preserve it, you might not want to readjust the battery. Together a desperate effort, friend could constantly transfer her team to a DS game if you want to save your Pokemon, but still fix the battery.

The save document should be safe if the battery is changed correctly. All the battery does is strength the interior clock, it cannot tell the difference in between a dead battery and no battery. In various other words; you can also play the game with the battery removed.

I assumption: v you find out something new everyday then, lol. I mean the reason I feeling the save would it is in erased is since I heard for various other games, like Earthbound top top SNES, if the battery was removed, the save would be erased. I believed the same applied here.

If i recall correctly, that is, due to the fact that the cartridge needs a battery to conserve the game. The SRAM demands a constant feed of electricity to store the save papers stored. No battery way no conserve files.

Now that you point out it, SRAM was pointed out in the original topic i read around Earthbound years ago, so the make perfect sense. Thanks for clearing the up.

If girlfriend know exactly how to solder it"s a pretty easy fix if not simply wrap electrical tape around the battery and the contacts.

The GBA Pokemon gamings use FlashROM (or other similar) to host save data, which doesn"t need a battery. Most gamings on older consoles offered SRAM, i m sorry does require a battery, to save.

That"s only for batteries that basically use the clock, due to the fact that the video game is constantly to update the time, even when that is no powered. V that in mind, those batteries would last for approximately 10 years.

The good news, the Pokémon GBA gamings store the conserve data in the cartridges. That only uses the interior battery for clock-base events. So instead of the battery won"t delete the conserve data.
