a camshaft and a camshaft sensor are various items... We room talking about a sensor ~ above this thread... It have to only take around 5 mins to replace the sensor.... To do a camshaft need to take a couple of hours...

after i changed my camshaft sensor i got a whole slew of codes and also it takes forever for my mag to turn over. Codes i obtained are 061c, 2172, 0340, 0344 and 0406. Believed it could be a poor sensor so i put the old one earlier and i gain the very same thing. What go i carry out wrong?

wanted to begin a brand-new thread on this however I figured I"d ask below first. Ns actually changed my camshaft place sensor about a year ago. Once I walk it, i accidentally crossthreaded the bolt that goes right into the block. The was only partially screwed under though, and I backed it out and also put it ago in straight, ns think.either way, I simply thought around it now and decided to ask. Is this going to it is in an worry later on? am i going to be needing to change that point again any time soon? i don"t think that was bad the first time, I just replaced it since it was reasonably cheap and also I had an intermittent starting issue. Aren"t the blocks iron? how in the world was ns able to partly strip the threads? or was ns mistaken and I partially stripped the object on the bolt?

If that is in and also tight I would let resting dogs lie. If friend do have actually to change it again just be mindful when threading it earlier in. Maybe chase the threads very first to clean them up with a tap. Jay

Ok, retard inquiry time regarding number 4.4. Unplug sensor, use dielectric grease to new sensor and plug in, apply a little amount of grease come o-ring, replace right into block and also tighten bolt. Can"t remember speak spec but will update it once I discover it back.Where precisely on the sensor do I apply it too? Obviously, that is the component that goes into the block, yet the totality thing? Also, do I usage the very same dielectric grease ~ above the o-ring? execute I remove it and also grease, or grease while it is in?Thanks for the help. Ns have obtained this lengthy cranking start for as well long and also I"m going to give this a try.
