The last time I readjusted my 2002 and also using a Toyota filter, it took exactly 7 quarts. The company manual claims 6.5 quarts yet when i bought the oil from the local Toyota components dept. The salesman said me i would need 7 quarts as he had actually done this project at the dealership for numerous years prior to being promoted. That was best on the button. The oil level come up exactly on the full mark-exactly!!! as soon as checked cold. I had actually the dealership wherein I purchase the truck readjust the oil the an initial time and they shorted me one quart i beg your pardon I discovered when I confirm the oil after ~ driving 30 miles home. It is in sure and also let the oil drainpipe for an ext than numerous minutes before putting the filter on and also filling it.

I just adjusted the oil on mine 2003 two weeks ago. Mine took just under 7 qts v a filter. I"d to speak you are safe going with 7 qts, an extra couple tenths the a quart won"t hurt. The owners manuals that come with toyota"s stink.
ya understand i go mine v syn, and it only held 6.... 2wd don"t think that matters, however maybe i didn"t acquire all the old ingredient out!
